Requirements
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in sales, account management, business development, dealer relations, automotive finance, insurance, or a related field, including experience developing sales plans, managing assigned territories or districts, and achieving sales growth, penetration, or revenue objectives.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of sales strategy, account management, territory management, and consultative selling practices.
  • Knowledge of automotive dealership operations, finance and insurance processes, and vehicle protection products, including Vehicle Service Contracts, GAP, Prepaid Maintenance, and related insurance products.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales plans that increase product penetration, dealer engagement, and revenue performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive dealer conversions, increase profitability, and leverage deep product expertise.
  • Strong relationship-building, influencing, negotiation, and consultative sales skills with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to dealers and business partners.
  • Ability to analyze sales performance, dealer trends, and market opportunities to identify gaps, recommend action plans, and track progress against goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, facilitation, and training skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across sales, operations, product, compliance, and other internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based or regional sales environment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute assigned district-level sales strategies to increase dealer adoption, product penetration, and revenue growth for Hyundai Capital Insurance products, including Vehicle Service Contracts, Prepaid Maintenance, GAP, and other vehicle protection products.
  • Build and manage strong dealer relationships as the primary sales contact and trusted advisor for assigned dealerships, identifying business opportunities, addressing dealer needs, and supporting annual sales objectives.
  • Provide consultative sales support, training, and product education to dealer principals, general managers, finance managers, and finance and insurance teams to improve product knowledge, sales effectiveness, and customer presentation of vehicle protection products.
  • Analyze district performance, sales trends, and dealer results to identify growth opportunities, monitor progress against goals, recommend action plans, and communicate insights to internal leadership and business partners.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and dealer personnel to resolve finance and insurance-related challenges, support program implementation, ensure compliance with business requirements, and strengthen the dealer and customer experience.

Hyundai Capital America raises $3.25B in bond sale amid post-war market rally

Hyundai Capital America has raised $3.25 billion through a global bond offering, benefiting from improved market conditions following the US-Iran peace agreement. The issuance was divided into four tranches: $400 million (2-year), $1.25 billion (3-year), $1 billion (5-year), and $600 million (7-year), with spreads of 55bp, 70bp, 83bp, and 93bp over US Treasury yields respectively. The spreads were tightened from initial guidance based on strong demand during bookbuilding. The financial subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, which provides leasing and instalment services to Hyundai and Kia's US operations, returned to market after two and a half months, having previously raised $2 billion in March. The company maintains an A-grade international credit rating from Moody's (A3) and S&P (A-).
